| Motorcycle Tax & MOT Want to buy a used motorcylce in HK. Do I need to put it through an annual vehical inspection (MOT)? Someone told me that I only need to have a vehical inspection if the road tax has already expired and I want to re-tax the bike. Anyone have any idea about this? Thanks. |

| Hi, I have had my bike for two years and although the registration has never expired I have not heard of any form of MOT for a bike here, the garage where i have servicing done has never mentioned it either. The only case of a bike being "inspected " was a bloke i know who got stopped by the police because his exhaust was too loud and he had to fit the standard one back on and get it approved by a gov. dept.
