STILL looking for an English tutor!

I have been searching for an English tutor for a long time...
Again, I work and live in HK island and prefer some one near around (either a native speaker or an ABC or the equivalent) to improve English. In reture, if you are interested, I can offer free courses in standard mandarine and pure cantonese. Or local knowledge about Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
Thanks for your kind attention.

I don't mind trading for Cantonese. I'm an Eng. teacher in Hong Kong. I was born here, but my Cantonese is poor. I've worked at the English department of a university in New York City and for Berlitz (http://www.berlitz.com.hk). Are you on HK or Kowloon side?

Take care,

Jay

I'd be interested in trading for putonghua. I need much more practice.

Lukbelaldy: The teachers are good, they're all intelligent and it's centrally located. You'll have a variety of teachers and you can pick one to stick with. They aren't cheap, though.

Schorizo: I'd be happy to teach one of your friends. Here's a link to my ad on Geoexpat. I've taught a lot of people from this forum, and I'm still teaching quite a few.

If you don't like the teacher, there's always the possibility of getting a different one if you request it. Also, if the teacher is ill or unable to make it, you'll get a different teacher. People learn in different ways, so what suits one person might not suit another.
