Shanghi Red Lily @ Festival Walk... Any good?

Some locals mentioned that Shanghai Red Lily at the Festival Walk plaza near Kowloon Tong was an excellent restaurant. Has anyone eaten here, and would you recommend this place?

Thanks, -Brad

I ate there once and I never went back. Personally I don't like the place much because I don't even consider it to be real shanghainese food. With so many authentic shanghainese restaurants that are extremely good in HK, Red Lily is far from good.

I think even the Shanghainese chain Crystal Jade is much better than Red Lily.

Though I have to admit, the environment is quite nice. So if you're looking for good environment with decent Shanghainese food, I would recommend Ye Shanghai at the Macro Polo Hotel on Canton Road.

Greenie's a foodie. I'd take her word for it, even with her diminutive size

Thanks for the tip!!!

Can always count on fellow Geo's to validate hints/tips... Appears this may have been some bad advise. I'm going to test my colleagues taste in food soon to find out if they are worth listening to regarding restaurants!!!

Thx again for the review!!!

You should try the Shanghainese restaurant, it calls Xiao Nan Guo. It's really good and much better than Shanghai Red Lily.
