Funny, if I recall, my info comes from that same chart. There were a number of chemicals that were present in quantities that exceeded WHO Standards.

Not this report then, that says QUOTE " Hong Kong today enjoys one of the safest drinking water supplies in the world........ its water quality complies with the chemical and bacteriological guideline values for drinking water recommended by the World Health Authority (WHO)." UNQUOTE

Isn't it wonderful to have friends?

No, none of them use water filters. Oh, except for maybe the ones now in the UK who use simple Brita filters just to get rid of the taste (certainly none of them have health concerns)

I had a look for that thread, but couldn't find it again. It was pretty interesting, especially as the guy who originally posted it up had no idea what it was saying

Jay- after some searching, I found the water quality report. It's in this thread:

http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/water-t20253p7.html

Every single entry for HK Island is under WHO guidelines. The report is ten years old, but I'd expect that HK water quality would only stabilise or go up over time.

More interestingly though, I've realised that every single argument in this current thread is simply a rehash of the old. The same people are just saying the same things! The lesson here? I guess that arguing on the internet is fun, but possibly pointless

agree, as junk food is both acceptable to many people and not acceptable to many other people too

if people don't care much on what they eat, why they would concern/worry the water a bit more ?

Someone here needs to understand there is no point in trying to flog a dead horse. If you want to preach do it at your local religious outlet or stand with the other loonies at Star Ferry Pier.

Live Water

Hi, I test the water myself by buying tester from Aquarium shop for PH and Chlorine test. Those are major for me becos only chlorine kill us and germs together..haha..And I need to check whether the filter need to be change. Little jug filter is useless I found but maybe better than nothing for the first 6 mths.
