Yes you can. Unlike other ferries there is no charge and you can take it on any of them.

I did it about 15 years ago. Policy might have changed.

Anyway, the government discourages cycling as it is too dangerous.

And you might want to wait some months for some serious tours.

Depends where you're headed- I have cycled from Cemtral to Wanchai in front of Tamar and across and it's fine. It could be pretty dangerous if you wanted to go many other places as drivers here aren't used to taking cyclists into consideration.
Many other countries have bike lanes and the like and drivers have always had cyclists to bear in mind- not here.

Well, you want to be that biological particle filter?

The last cyclist that died, actually was accused of speeding, while the bus driver that crossed those double lines didn't do anything unusual.

As a reply to the last proposal by some cyclists to make Hong Kong more bike-friendly the government said, it wasn't feasable because it would be unfair to car drivers. And anyway, cycling should be restricted to the footpath as riding on the road would be too dangerous.

The footpaths in Hong Kong have no ramps and are not even wheelchair-friendly.

I guess it doesn't take long until Hong Kong is following China and prohibits cycling as it is bad for the environment. No joke. Their reasoning is very funny too.
