Looking for work - Can anyone recommend any good language schools? A friend of mine is working in HK teaching English (now that's original) and is having some run in's with the company she is working for (they seem to try to get out of paying at any turn). She would like to find a better company to work for, teaching either adults or kids. If anyone is currently working for a company, language school or agency and can recommend it please let me know or drop me a PM. Thanks!

Well, a lot of people speak English here in Hong Kong, albeit half of them are not good. I think that there are too many English teachers, and it is better for your friend to reorientate herself and focus on an industry. I would think being more focused is a better bet. Sorry I don't have any reference for your friend... just my thoughts when I see your posting here. Good luck!

teaching english is her passion - she sees it as her life time calling. Hard to ask someone to reorientate away from something you love doing especially when there is a huge demand where you live that isn't being catered for! PS Are you french by any chance?

Well, what I mean is if to teach in companies, it would be good to choose a specific sector and just a little bit specialised. Just my opinion... I am not French but have a passion for the language and the culture. I've learned the language for a number of years and would really need a lot of practice on it. I would like to meet French speaking friends and just get myself into using the language. And you, are you French?
