Change of address within Hong Kong

Are you able to go into the Post office and fill out a change of address form like you can do in Canada if you want to change addresses in Hong Kong?

Assuming you mean to have your mail forwarded then yes of course.

In principle you are also supposed to inform the Immigration and Tax Departments within 14(?) days.

nah...here is not as same as Canada. As PDLM said, going to the immigration and tax dept. to change your address. The post office doesnt care about it.

Er, not quite all - you need a digital certificate (which only about 50 people in HK have bothered to get) for IRD, and ImmD isn't on the list at all...

Thanks for the info. Just what I needed.

Does the post office charge per individual per address or per household per address?

Wow...thanks guys. We moved a few months ago and totally forgot to inform revenue & immigration department. Just checked IRD and they have a form you can download from the website to change your address here:
http://www.ird.gov.hk/eng/ese/ind_tel.htm
Looks like the correct change of address form is Form I.R.6104.
You can mail, fax or submit it to the department afterwards.
