Moving within Hong Kong

Any recommendations for furniture removers?

I am moving from one small apartment in Mid Levels to another small apartment in Mid Levels, a few streets, maybe 10 minutes apart. I don’t have much stuff – a couple of chairs, a table, art-work (paintings & framed photographs), piles of books, a printer, boxes of kitchen stuff and suitcases of clothes and bedding…. so it’s not like a whole house of stuff (although just making this list makes me aware of how much I have actually accumulated...)

Don’t want to be dragging things along the road myself. Any experience in moving from one place in Hong Kong to another? Don’t want to spend too much money. Names and telephone numbers of companies would be greatly appreciated.

I have checked this site and looked around but companies seem to deal only with overseas relocations.

Thanks,
b.

Funny. You are asking a suggestion in a free forum and, after one day without an answer, you make an ironic comment to the expats not helping you.
I suggest to ask the forum administrator your money back

U-Haul, Penske or Ryder if they have it here. Get a taxi and just offer to pay extra. Either that or a rolling cart.

Sincerly thanks.

My post was intended to get things moving (!) and see what the responses would be. I just found it funny that people were writing throughout the day about the prices of a Big Mac etc whilst I was sitting amongst a pile of boxes....

When I did the search for a thread thing the best I found was information on packing boxes, so I will search deeper next time.

Ok la, better hit the frog and toad.

With no meningful answers forthcoming and lack of any insight on your own wouldnt it be prudent at this point to just get it on and do it yourself? Seiorusly the taxi idea seems to be cheapes and best given the short distance. Movers will charge you and arm and a leg.
