How expensive is McDonald's in truth?

During my online researches I've also tried to gather some information about the prices for a menu at McD's since I might get homesick once in a while

I've heard from prices as low as HK$20/menu up to prices as high as HK$250

What's the truth? Anybody out there knowing the prices?

Thanks fellas!

I think a meal is about 20-30 dollars but it wont have much in common with what you're used to.

Mc Donald's in Hong Kong has one of the lowest prices of any city in the world; value meals cost under $25, a Big Mac (benchmark for the index of the same name) costs $12 and according to an article in Friday's South China Morning Post, the average worker has to work 13 minutes to afford a Big Mac ...

You cannot supersize meals in Hong Kong but I've heard that this practice has disappeared from the menus in other countries as well.

There is only one Burger King (inside the 'secure' area of the airport) in Hong Kong and while the reason for this lack of competition is not entirely clear to me, its menu prices are almost double those of Mc Donald's and perhaps BK finds it hard to compete on price with the golden arches.

i remember when a value meal cost something like $17.20 about 4-5 years ago.. they now range from $20.8 - $24.8 i think.. still pretty cheap. i think mcD wages start at $12-15/hr..

speakin of fast food, why is the KFC menu so restricted? even in china there are more options than in hk.

A Big Mac is $12 but a double cheeseburger is $8. The double cheesburger is in line with the value menu in the states ($1 US) but the Big Mac is marked down significantly. BTW I are at McDonalds about 2x per year but here it is actually desired not for the price (helps) but need that western food fix.

One strange thing in HK Mc Donalds, is that they make some burger buns from rice! This is not something I have seen elsewhere but they do seem to be popular with some of the local HK people
from memory you are looking at way less than $30 for any sort of set meal

don't ask me how I know, but you certainly can "supersize" the extra value meal in Hong Kong (so that it resembles a regular sized meal in other countries)
