Girlies - Recommendation for a Hairdresser?

Hi all

I know there are a number of threads in this vein but I thought I'd be more specific.

I am looking to get a hair cut. I have naturally curly (although more wavy & frizzy than actual curls) and need a very decent layered cut.

Can anyone recommend a decent hairdresser - and within some sort of budget would be nice.

Alternatively I'll be in London in about 6 wks - should I just wait until London? Is the risk too great in HK???

Thanks
Nat

The "Risk" of getting all my hair chopped off and being stuck with the dodgy haircut for wks until it grows out - especially given I know I'll be in London soon. Oh and also I've never had my hair cut in HK (or Asia) so not sure if it really is a risk?!

I guess you see everyday hair chopped off hairstyle in HK on local and expat people...
Anyway, HK hairdresser are quite famous and there are a lot of artists too here. You will have the same risk here than in Europe.
If you don't speak Cantonese it's better to check in the directory of this website and choose one of the advertisers.

near LKF

I had similar concerns with naturally curly hair, and had some terrible exprriences in Japan and China where the hairdressers have no idea about curly hair. I went to a hairdresser on the main street crossing over LKF and had no problem, but I cant remember the name, but it is large and on the second floor. Ask to have a hairdresser for curly hair and you should be fine. There were lots of other westerners there, so it seems to be pretty popular. Cost about 400, from memory, but I see many places in Causeway bay for cheaper, but dont know how 'foreigner hair oriented' they are
