Liquor Stores

Does anybody know if there are any liquor stores in Wanchai. I know they sell wine and spirits in Park and Shop and 7-11, but I am looking for a better assortment. Thanks

You will not find anything even close to a USA liguor store anywhere in HK.

The drive by's aren't as good here either.

What booze that is so special to the US can you not get here? Along with being out in the cold for a cup of coffee because 7-11 doesn't sell it and passing off over processed cack as macaroni and cheese it must be really tough living in Hong Kong.

Watson's Wine Cellars for a general selection ( http://www.watsonswine.com/ ) but even they don't have a shop in Wanchai.

The more specialist wine places I know of tend to be in other areas too (Causeway Bay, SoHo, etc.).

Good Sangria and Rosé for dinner party. I am terribly sorry that you think I am insulting Hong Kong by asking if it has any liquor stores. And why are you assuming that I am from the US?

Thanks PDLM...I will check it out. There is a Watsons Wine Cellar in Wanchai off Harbor Road. It says it on the link. Cheers.

I was actually referring to the above quote, I don't think you are insulting Hong Kong at all.
As a lifelong expat of several countries and continents it irks me when people choose to travel halfway round the world and then moan that they can't get something here when it is as trivial as cup of coffee, taco or liquor.

If you haven't read the other posts I'm not surprised you think I am having a poke at you- not intended!

You don't need a good pedigree (or whatever the hell the right term is) for Sangria .. a box of californian' mixed with fizzy and fruits is going to taste the same as a vintage french with umm... fizzy and fruits.

Lammarite--no harm, no foul! I appreciate the sentiment. FYI it was a burrito, not a taco . I read your other posts on Geo after I was offended, and I decided I enjoyed your humor regardless...so its all good.
