Question Fix Ray-Ban?

My Ray-Ban sunglasses broke Actually it's just the frame, or to be exact, part of the earpice.
While in Europe 2 weeks ago, an optical shop told me they can fix it in about 4 days as they have to liaise with Ray-Ban on this. Unfortunately I didn't have 4 days at one place and decide to do it back in HK instead.

Now all the optical shops I went to in HK tell me that they don't do repair Can this be true?

I have tried to find a way to contact Ray-Ban directly but they don't provide a contact on their website.
The shop where I bought the sunglasses doesn't exist anymore (and would be in Singapore anyway...).

I really want to fix them, as I paid quite a bit for the lenses as well.

Any ideas?

Don't expect too much- I bought a pair of Dolce Gabanna sunglasses and after a few months the lenses started peeling. I got in touch with the dealer and he basically said 'tough sh1t- once you've bought them we don't cover them'. Real Hong Kong attitude as there are enough tourists going through that they don't need return customers.
I hope you have more luck with Ray-Ban. My next glasses will be Oakley as they have great after sales service.

Thumbs up

Thanks KIA, very good lead.

It's actually the number of the Luxottica office, they gave me the number of Luxottica retail, and they told me I have to try my luck at "Lense Crafters" at Pacific Place or Ocean Center.

Just talked to Lense Crafters - and believe it or not - they seem to be quite helpful as well!
Will go there later and try my luck...

welcome to the world of HK consumer (non)protection.

BTW when you would clean the lenses, what sort of cloth would you be using?
