Have a look at this site. The hostel is at Causeway Bay

I am presently staying at the Happy Valley Emperor Hotel at $400 HKD a day but, this is a summer special and I booked for 1 month.

You might want to check them it. It's good, clean, convenient and reasonable.

Provides free shuttle service and newspaper every morning.

I only know of the summer special (since I am staying here now ) but, I am sure they will be willing to negotiate if you tell them you want to rent for 1 month.

It's a decent size room. I estimate the room to be about 350-400 sq. ft. I am on the top floor where there are only 4 rooms.

I think your best bet in that price range may be the hourly hotels. There are some pretty nice ones in Mong Kok. I know it sounds pretty bad, but I have heard they are pretty good. Furthermore, if you are planning on shopping a lot Mong Kok is the place to stay
