Unhappy Got a virus that triggers DEP (Data Execution Protection) to block some programs...

Hi! Have you had a similar problem? Cought a virus last night from Internet, is there anything I can do except reinstalling Windows??? When I try to open My computer or Windows Explorer, a message pops up saying "To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program".
Thanks a lot!

Download Firefox and use that to download Spybot ( http://www.spybot.info/ ) and an free AVG ( http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 ) to run a scan before you go out and reinstall windows.

I ran several virus scans, no virus was found... but the problem remains. Hmmm...

Have you tried with Spybot? You can also download Ad-Aware personal and see if there is anything wrong. Two anti-spywares are better than one...
