Not sure if anyone can help me here, but any advice is appreciated - I'm after a quality new turntable cartridge (needle headshell) and/or a phono stage.

Can anyone tell me anything about these local brands, and the best shops to go to?

Don't know those brands, but if you're island side it might be worth checking out the hifi shops on 7th or 8th floor of Times Square. There's at least one hi-end place there.
