Hi, There are no "legal" pinballs in bars or restaurants in HK as you need a gaming license to operate one. You can apply for a license but then you can't serve alcohol in the same area. They are only found in the grimy Video arcades that are dotted about everywhere. My company has tried several times to get pinballs reclassified but TELA (gov. dept.) has refused each time. I know of several for sale for home use and i can supply just about anything "coin-operated" Gweilo

Hi, We import "classic gaming" machines for people's home use. eg Space Invaders Pacman etc. The new video machines are incredibly expensive as they are sold with the premise that they will take in lots of coins in the arcades. Most of my customers let me know what they are after, we find it and quote a price to bring it in. Gweilo

Hi PFJ, There is no problem installing a Pinball in a bar for decorative purposes ie never switched on. but if the Tela people spot the machine in operation they will inform the police who have the power to seize the machine, if it is not removed after a warning is issued. I know of two bars in Kowloon who have gone through this and in one the licensee was fined. The police can also object to any liquor license issued as a "Gaming" machine is on the premises. All the best to the bar involved Gweilo
