| | | Techies Happy Hour - Aug 3rd @ 7pm (Dublin Jack) Quick note to all you folks involved with technology. Programmers, gadget gurus, head hunters, sales people .. you get the picture...
A number of us are getting together on the 3rd of August for a drink or five. http://www.geoexpat.com/handshakes/events/techmeetup/
Location to be confirmed in a day or so -- should be Dublin Jacks, but I have not confirmed with them that they have the area at the back free on Thursday or not.
Location: Dublin Jack in Lan Kwai Fong ( http://www.delaneys.com.hk/dj.html )
Time: 7pm onwards | |

| | | Know it all, Its great you are setting this up, but I think you would get a far better crowd if you keep the head-hunters and other non-related people out of the crowd. I find normally the "geeks" tend to be shy-er and will leave if there are too many finely suited, business people.
We already have a choice of many Bullshit "tech" events where all the the number of techies is less than 5% like "IPro Asia". All the "suits" have made all the geeks go away.
How about you establishing something new? | |

Yes, I do think too much that there is a need for a decent tech gathering in HK, i guess this one is not it. Or is it?
