Renewed passport - what to do about HK work visa?

I recently renewed my (non-HK) passport because the expiry date is a few months away and most countries require 6 months validity for travel.

My old (now canceled) passport still holds my HK work visa. Do I need to go to HK immigration to get the visa transferred, or can I just carry around my old passport until I get a new work visa?

Thanks in advance!

You can do either. Personally, unless the Employment Visa needs renewing in a month or two I have always got ImmD to put a new visa in the new passport. The charge for this last time I did it was, I think, HK$145.
