Hello,

How did you get on with "empirestudio.biz"? I have called them because I want a monthly rental for march this year but my budget is tight (6000 to 8000). Just wonderd if you or anybody else has ever seen these appartments or dealt with the company? Are they any good, any extra details anybody can provide about quality, cleanliness, service etc etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
UKMAT

Well done!

Congratulations. That's very impressive. Do you mind telling me the estate agent you use? If its not too intruding, what is te name of you apartment? I got friends who's coming to Hong Kong soon and looking for a place in Kennedy Town.

I'm also in Kennedy Town (Smithfield Terrace), and was able to find a furnished apartment in less than a day for less than 6,000. I wound up using a local realtor who was extremely helpful (after I signed, he offered and took care of switching over my water, electric and gas bills for me!) If anyone needs information on him, feel free to PM me.

In addition to the convenience of all the buses we have in KT, there are also plenty of minibuses as well. I work in Central up on Wyndham Street, and my minibus is able to get me to work in less than 30 minutes door-to-door... and that includes the waiting times for the minibus to pick up new passengers. The best thing about it... the bus drops me off on Caine Road, so I get to walk down hill to work, instead of having to walk up from DesVoeux, a definite plus in the summer months!

ausabroad will become famous soon enough
empire studio is good
I am actually staying here at the moment
I am in a 'cheaper' tiny room beside reception but the other regular rooms look nice
it is newly renovated...great location
i think a microwave is the only cooking facilities
but would definately recommend this place for short term.

Realtor's won't be able to find you something for only 3 months, its usually a minimum 12 months with landlords.

You guys are better off finding serviced apartments for that length of time.

Hello I am in the middle of negotiating with Empire Studios on a 6 month lease. Their website is quite vague they make the room's size to be. Also I am not sure if the bathrooms are shared (btw unacceptable to me). Any thoughts on Empire Studios will be appreciated.

If you do a search for empire studios here, you'll find it. Seem to have pretty good reviews, and I think one of the post actually state that they have a separate restroom that's not shared.
I'm going there myself in June for a month, from what I'm told by Mr. Tse, Deluxe room is 190 sq. ft ($9,000/month) and the deluxe plus is 230 sq. ft ($10,000/month)
