I may move to HK for a 3 months job and i am looking for computer hardware prices or maybe online stores .
Are the HK prices better than in France ?
Does anyone have a link ?
PS : i looked into the "shopping" section and it lacks the category.
Thanks for the link
Does it match HK "small stores" prices ?
For the most part it's generally about right, give or take a couple tens of dollars. They vary depending on shops, market conditions, positions of the moon & stars, etc..
I have been offered compaq prolinant server without any HD's or apparent means to install them.
A quick look revealed that standard IDE cable does not fit into disk interface board.
I checked the net, but this type is no longer manufactured.
I guess I need to buy a carrier or interface to convert standard HD?
- are these carriers / interface expensive?
- where to source?
Seriously, stay away from Compaqs. They have a fair amount of non-standard widgets in their system. The last compaq we purchased needed an *expensive* screw driver to open up....
Try the hard drive shops in Wanchai Computer Center.

Got a model number?
thanks, it will only be a play thing at home, not for a web-server, etc. model is 2500. I know it is old model, but seems unused. MB seems brand new. cheers.
