Start my own practice Hi there! We are moving to HK next month. My husband is being tranferred from London to HK. He will have a work permit and I will have a dependent visa. I am a clinical hypnotherapist and would like to have my own practice in HK. But with my dependant visa I am not entitled to work.. So how should I deal with this? Anyone share some experiences? Thank you all so much!

Do check with immigration again. I'm sure that on a dependent visa, you should be able to work. Recently, there has been change to the policy.

You can....as long as you can find an employer while you're being here. Then, you can simply to apply a working visa and change the status. FYI, your permit for stay will then separate to your husband. By the way, you can change back the depandent status at any stage if that's the case. Hope you will love HK..... micmic
