ok so... i am more than likely taking a job in ap lei chau within the next week. i'm currently in chung hom kok, which is way too far from everything, so where would you all recommend i live, and can i find a decent place by myself for 10k or less?
i'd like to have easy access to entertainment (central, wanchai etc), as well as easy access to work (south horizons). i have the sense of direction of a piece of bread, so any help is welcome!!

ap lei chau is pretty close to Chung Hom Kok I think?

Ap Lei Chau is very convenient for bus traffic though. Pretty much anywhere on HK island has direct buses to ALC.

There are buses that go along Caine Road to Ap Lei Chau so living in central and working in Ap Lei Chau is feasible or just getting into town from there. I don't know the route or the timetable but might be worth just going for a ride before you choose a place.
