Does anybody know the rate at which CP charges for oversized baggage. On their site it said max. two bags, and each bag must not be more then 70 lbs and total dimensions > 62 in's.

I'm planning to bring a ice hockey goal bag (40 x 20 x 20 in) and a hardcase suitcase (definitely less then 62 in) but i'm sure they SHOULD be both less then 70 lbs...

Ask your travel agent to contact CX or contact them yourself and request for an exception to be made BEFORE you travel.

They're usually able to accomodate most exceptions if they're told in advance and someone has approved it. Frequently the staff at the checkin gates are not able to or don't want to make a decision... but if your agent or yourself has asked customer service in advance, they'll most probably approve it.
