| Beaches, water-slides and surfing We're visiting HK for about a month during august, and would like to do the following there: 1) go to some beaches. Preferrably with nice sand and clean water. If there's a risk of sharks, lifeguards/nets as well. 2) does HK have those places with water-slides etc. where you can just have loads of fun? 3) I've just learnt that it is indeed possible to surf (wave-surf that is, like in Hawaii, California etc.) in HK! I'm quite a beginner, so I would need a place suited for beginners. I've read about "Big wave bay" elsewhere in this forum, but don't know where it is (Sai Kung?), how to get there and which conditions there are (suitable for beginners, experts only etc.). Is it possible to rent boards there (if yes, how much does it cost?), and is there a nice beach nearby (my wife doesn't surf)? Are there other suitable places to surf in HK? |
