My laptop screen is no longer working and not able to get it fixed immediately here in HK. Looking for a cheap monitor to use in the meantime. Is there anyone selling a cheap monitor or know of a reputable place to buy a second hand monitor?

What brand and modell do you have?
One common thing with notebooks is that the graphic card starts ti glitch if you tend to lift it holding it only at one end.
Try pressing down at the top center of you notebooks keyboard with your palm, apply about 1-2kg pressure, and try turing it on.
This is especially true when its HP/compaq notebooks produced 2003-2005 aprox.

Let me know if it works or not.
