What is the major of your Master degree? What job are you looking for? And do you have any working experience, etc? All these things matter. Anyway, if possible, try to look for a job in banking industry. It would be easier.

many malaysians are multi lingual, are fairly fluent in english and can speak several dialects of chinese or indian (depending if you are are chinese or indian malay). perhaps you should push this angle.

unfortunately, i presume you may be without experience which doesn;t help the cause.

and dare i say that racism is rife between rival asian countries so perhaps being malaysian may be a factor...

other than that, it;s just too expensive and more hassle than it's worth for a company to go through the whole sponsorship process when they can geet someone locally without...

i like malaysia and singapore personally and would consider working there also.

You've already answered that. There are local people with better experience than you who don't need a work permit, what would a company stand to gain from giving you a chance over all the other better qualified local candidates?

It's not hopeless. You can offer to start at the bottom, and show off the skills that manifest your potential. THough you might not have media expertise now, tell them you're willing to start from the bottom and you actually have the skills to be successful in that career.

Don't lose heart, keep your confidence up, and good luck!
