Baseball ??????

Hi My name is Chris and I play college ball in the US. I signed up for an internship here figuring I could do without baseball for the summer, but i miss it so much already. Does anyone know teams that I could play with on weekends or just practice with? I work till six during the week but was hoping to play after that or on weekends, even if it is just throwing the ball around. Also Anyone know where i can buy some baseball gear? Cleats and Glove? Any help would be much appreciated...

Chris

Don't know if this will help, but saw this on another thread. It's the HK Baseball Association. You can give them a try.

Hi I've been in hong kong for about three weeks now and have now just caught up on things at work and am trying to explore things out here. I definitely miss baseball too (although I didn't play in college but only until high school jv) and would love to find some sports to play here. Baseball, basketball, football - you name it I want to play. Chris, let me know if you have any success finding baseball teams out here.

I'm in!

I also need baseball (not softball) in my life. Fantasy Baseball is just not cutting it anymore. Well, so far it looks like there are a few of us. Maybe we should start recruiting and organize something ourselves.

Otherwise, check out www.hkbaseball.org

I can't figure out how to view it in English, but there must be a way. I read the women's page (in English), and that league seems to be open to all levels and they play organized ball.

If anyone can find out anything (I will do some research on my end) PLEASE let me know. I want to play (or even practice) some ball.

Thanks.

count me in

Still not yet settled in HK due to a delayed work assignement but will miss my baseball fix too. I will bring the glove if there's a chance to play. I also found the links mentioned on here but couldn't figure much else out as far as being able to get out and toss the ball around. Maybe expat is the answer.

In the mean time I'm trying to OD on baseball with the hometown Rockies. They're playing good ball and I've given up all hope on the Cubs. "Wait 'till next year..." has come earlier than usual.

Definitely bring your glove, and keep us posted if you find anything out about baseball leagues in HK.

And yes, your Rockies are looking alright in the standings. However, you're not permitted bragging rights when you play in the NL West. I can say this because I love the Giants. And they always seem to make the playoffs.
