yea i've been there but not for food, we had dinner somewhere else and went there for some drink & hukka(sisha). i had a margarita which i didnt like and i cant remember what my friend was having but she wasnt too happy with it either. the mint flavoured hukka was pretty good. i went there after 9 and the place was pretty crowded had to settle for a small table in the corner.

When no one replied I took this as a bad sign and chose to go to the Peak Lookout instead because it was a special occasion which judging from your post was a good plan.

Can recommend Peak Lookout for the food and atmosphere but not the service.
I booked an outside table but just before we got there a major downpour happened and yet they still tried to seat us outside - we probably would have done it had they offered to dry the table and chairs because it was an ok night, but they didn't so we dined inside instead. I had to go and ask someone to take our order and at the end we went to the counter to pay becasue no one brought us the bill. Heaps of staff with the great habit of looking busy doing nothing and gazing right over your head and refusing to make eye contact.
Probably wont go back.

Well, virtually everything on the peak is designed for the quick buck. Focus is on tourists and not repeat traffic from locals. The peak lookout is overrated in my opinion.

It's a very nice restaurant in terms of the ambience and the service. Though I can't say the same about the food. It's different from your usual run-of-the-mill Turkish restaurants, but that could be because the focus of the food is more Middle Eastern as opposed to strictly Turkish.

In my experience, the service has been excellent and food is above average at best. I guess its because a friend of my friend runs the place...

chrome can only hope to improve
I have been there once and it was enough to see that you pay for decoration, ambiance, and location (and perhaps entertainment with dancer) than quality food. If whoever you are taking there does not know much about turkish or middle-eastern food, it'll pass and might even impress. Anyone who knows what they are eating will not be satisfied - I sure wasnt.
