rickyvilla is on a distinguished road
On balance, Italy deserved to win.....

.....and we do have a team that's very capable of winning the tournament. Assuming we dispose of Ukraine in QF, we'll have a far harder test against either Germany or Argentina. But Italian football has a habit of over coming better opposition. The problems arise when we're playing "lesser" nations - witness S.Korea 4 years ago, USA this year, etc.

Back to last night's game, Italy were clearly the classier outfit in the first half - bags of chances created. Australia's chance's when they had numerical advantage were limited. The sending off decision was harsh but so was the penalty. But I guess the ref was atoning for his earlier mistake?

Onwards and upwards......Forza Italia!

Then:

Ok, drama queens? wow did u just find that out?, this whole drama queen thingy is goin on since like the 1980's.....Doesnt it work? ok at times to waste time...its a technique, against australia only i think zambrotta used it once.

But the match agaist USA was violent:
numb. 1: I AM SO HAPPY, GLAD, AND PROUD THAT DE ROSSI BROKE THAT FUCKERS FACE.
SECOND: USA IS TOO USED TO RUGBY TO PLAY SOCCER, THEY DONT PLAY THE GAME, THE FUN GAME, THE SKILLS,.... THEY PLAY W THEIR MASS, CANT BLAME EM RUGBY IS BETTER FO THOSE GUYS.

RICKYVILLA WAS TOTALLY RIGHT FOR ITS COMMENTS ON ITALY THAT WITH LIPPI HAVE IMPROVED.

If nothing else you have to admire the Italian teams reworking of the Classic Latin Saying to fit their own style:

Forget I came, I Saw, I Conquered, now its I Came, I Cheated, I Conquered...
