i am in hk finally..think you guys havent checked your PM..anyways i have an orange number..prepaid..but have to figure out what it is..hope we can meet up for drinks..hey another thing..i know this might sound bit foolhardy..i am thinkinf of living in lamma..found a beutiful house 700 sq feet with a back garden and a front garden huge...good for my cats..but the commute to kowloon- hunghom bay is at the least one hour..and after 12:30 the ferry from central stops..checking out whampoa gardens etc..but man the places here are a shock!!..anyways hope we can meet up for a beer or two..check your PMS

thanks paul for the recommendation but i definitely promote cwb coz it is a wonderful place to live in and i don't mind sharing my wonderful experience of living here, with others who are looking for similar places in hk....besides if i can help someone find peace and tranquility living in a crazy place like hk, i will be happy i helped that someone!

trust me after making the trips to other places..lamma looks like heaven....if i wanted to live in a box, i could have chosen to live in a place nearer to work, if life is all about work, then i could have worked till 12,...but there;s a price for everything ..i guess for a great place commute is the price..but hey tangy..if you know of any 700 sq feet places for 7k hk..please pm me..as its quite urgent

ameet....you can make atrip to cwb or sai kung and check out the message boards at the park nshop /welcome etc if you r lucky you may probably get a direct deal without a broker sometimes owners put up there, but in 7 k you can get in cwb/sai kung i know i've seen the ads if i come across any will definitely pass them on to you

Yo Ameet,

Ever considered Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay) on Lantau Island? The ferries are more frequent and the houses there are equally big (and relatively cheaper, too).

thanks for all the response..i went apprtment hunting yesterday,..and in central- sheng wan area, Des Vaux rd, i got a 1000 sq feet approx, good wooden floors , 3 bedrooms, (one quiet..the other 2 facing the main road)..for 6000 hkd..that's a great deal..going to look at soho today..and yeah lantau sounds interesting...how far is it from hunghom, by ferry..and is it a all night service..?...

hi found it thru a housing agent..thru www.gohome.com.hk
have a look there..meanwhile will email you the perticular agents details, as soon as i can find the card..though only one thing about this area of sheng wan..its the end of hollywood road..and very much located midst the business district..other than that..a place that huge for 6k..is impossible to get,..i am still a bit surprised..
