Dont really know if you can get to CWB or Sai Kung from Central by bus. There is no direct link. Your best bet is to take the MTR, get off at Choi Hung Station, and take a 'green' minibus from there. The buses from there are quick, convenient, and frequent.

My colleagues told me security could be a problem with village houses. What do you think?

We were living in Saikung village house ,Ground floor with garden and carpark
but u know in village house no management so no security, have to goto throw garbage far away ,lots of wild dogs, hard to live with children,so we decide to move in flat.we are moving end of march ,If you want to move in saikung area ,will ask our land lord if she want to rent this house (3 bedrooms,1 storeroom 1 bathroom little garden)
if u change ur mind living in village and looking for flats i think u can find flat in Metrocity around ur budget, beautiful garden ,playground, swimming pool, gym, kindergarden, very good security and ofcourse easy shopping in same building.

we have a caretaker, security is no problem so far, you can look for a village house that has a caretaker....i'm not sure but i think one of the neighbhours are moving in about a month or so, if u like i can check and let u know....otherwisw there are olenty of flats also available...dont go too much in the interiors that is off the main road, and dont look for a hose thats too secluded, look for a well lit up and slightly populated area then i think it should be fine

Is your house near Sai Kung town? And also, how far is it to the bus stop?

Tangy mentioned these areas are good for working in Kwun Tong...that could become attractive. But, wondering about time and effort given long hours. Can spend around 20k but would prefer half! Need 3bd/2bth and thinking 2/f w roof for garden space with greater security. Ideas?
