Smile NFL in Hong Kong!??

NFL ... which is your favorite teams?

I'm just wondering, if those NFL games is going to show in H.K, which teams will be the most popular? Also, where did those NFL fans in HK watch the games?

I used to watch quite a bit of NFL on the Japanese station NHK I think. Given the time differences, most games are on 'live' in HK at midnight or 3:00 am so it's a bit rough to find a place to watch them.

You can watch the the ESPN Monday night game on Tuesday (same times). Check NFL.com for the schedule and you'll know who's playing when...

Now that NBC has the Sunday night games, we're sh!t-outta-luck for those and all the rest....

East End Brewery had the Superbowl (along with a few others) so they may show the games too...

I heard that NFL is planning to have an exhibition game in China in 2007 or 2008. They had one game in Mexico last year, made a record over 100,000 tickets sold. It would be great to watch NFL in Asia. I do hope it will become a poplur sport like NBA in Asia.

i've heard several possible options for getting NFL games here, anyone want to weigh in on which ones are plausible??

1. some one in the U.S. records the games with a DVD burner then mails the discs (takes 5-6 days)
2. slingbox - you'd have to piggy back off a t.v. back in the states for this and i'm not 100% certain how this works
3. internet radio - not the most exciting option
4. phillipino satellite television?? saw that one on here some where? can anybody explain that? Do they pick up more games then we would here?
5. S.O.L. - not really an option, more of a 'state of mind'.

During the play-offs in winter, I watched at Skitz in Wanchai but because the regular season games shown on ESPN Star are at such inconvenient times, I watch those at home when I get a chance.

The only people I've met, who watch the NFL in a bar, are American expats or business travellers and they usually support their 'local' teams. No team stands out in popularity among non-American HK residents. Personally, I'm happy the Steelers finally won the SuperBowl again; also like the Cowboys from my days in Texas ... but I have little hopes for them going all the way this year.

No faith in TO?
I would think the worst part about the NFL in HK is the time of the game. I have problems staying up for MNF in the US unless Dallas is playing. And you could record it, I suppose, but then you would want to avoid finding out the score until you could actually watch it. I'm looking at Sunday in HK as being newly discovered free time.

NFL and College games

I assume we are SOL for college games - we always find those more exciting than NFL (although I am from NY and my husband is from Chicago).

I agree that college football is more exciting than the NFL but sadly, college games are much harder to find over here.
