Ah, I see...did this year's performance drive you to drink? If not, I vote that fellow Cub fans should drown their sorrows in alcohol, in good old Billy Goat style. Does that mean that you shall be watching the playoffs as a disinterested observer, or do you have a team you are rooting for?

It isn't so much the INTs, but the bad coverage reads that lead to the INTs. Everyone makes mistakes, balls get batted, receivers run the wrong routes but veterans shouldn't be confused by coverages; if that happens too often you might as well let the rookie learn.
And while I am venting about the 'Boys, I hope jerry jones is happy with his decision to let that kicking coach go a couple years ago.... Now he is paying more for kickers than he ever would have paid that coach.
I am not a big jerry jones fan; you know he is a problem when George Steinbrenner endorses him.

Watching the Cubs play is like watching an imminent train wreck: horrid and volgar yet you can't look away. As you had prescribed, I scheduled in no less than four Old Styles and a Goose Island 312 in my Cubs-spectating regiment last evening. Well, going from trailing by seven at the bottom of the third to winning and committing no less than SIX errors in the process, at least they're not boring to watch. You know you've got something special when the Chicago Tribune celebrates a two-game winning streak. In baseball.

Apathy will prevail for the rest of the season as long as our neighbors in the south remain two and a half games behind the wild-card race heheh. Coming from a house divided as my brother is a diehard whitesux fan, we can't have a repeat of last year now can we?

Back on topic, last weekend's Packers at home shutout was almost as sweet as Brett Favre's long face featured prominently on sportscenter. This week ensures some great matchups in college football, which I prefer over the inflated egos of the NFL. Colts fan huh? What's your take on the Peyton vs. Eli spectacle? I'm convinced that all the shutouts this week are a direct result of the wrath of MNF, may it RIP. Hell hath no fury like MNF scorned.

Well, I didn't say that Losman was any better, at least he's only a second year player though. Bledsoe averaged about 5 sacks a game in buffalo though, he royally sucks

Where does one get Old Style here? And some PBR? 6 years of grad school has made me so cheap that its amazing...

The Chicago Tribune is the reason for my being a Cubs fan. I had just arrived in the US..these guys found me out and bombarded me with 40-page newspapers, 38 of which were devoted to Sammy Sosa..the beginning of a very variegated baseball watching experience.

Coming from a house divided as my brother is a diehard whitesux fan, we can't have a repeat of last year now can we?

Ah, but at least the Red Sox aren't making it. Lots of joy in that for me...

This week ensures some great matchups in college football, which I prefer over the inflated egos of the NFL.

Not if one is from the University of Illinois, Champaign. One decent season in the last 7 years, and 6 absolutely horrible ones..enough to take ones mind off college football for ever. Surprisingly, Ive ended up watching more Big 12 games than any other conference..

Colts fan huh? What's your take on the Peyton vs. Eli spectacle?

Holding off judgment on Eli for now..he's still young. Peyton, on the other hand, needs to stop his brain cramps under high pressure. Too much of a geek, needs to have studied every possible situation before it occurs in a game.

That is also my point with the Dallas QBs. Being sacked for a safety is bad, but if you are a second year player stuff happens. Bledsoe, and before him Testaverde, make all sorts of "rookie" mistakes. Bledsoe just makes less than Testaverde so Dallas wins more games. Time to bring back Aikman or Staubach; I think Dandy Don is too old.
