Is it possible to change the status of my friend from dh visa to working visa?
Here goes the story!
She is a Univ.Graduate from the Philippines but worked here as Dh.She spent her time working as a dh for so many years until she found out that she can register here as a Medical Laboratory Technologist(a person whose primary work is in the laboratory)and holding a Valid certificate to practise her profession here in hongkong .So my question is Can she change her visa from dh to working?if yes,how??Please let me know.oh no she just ring me,she told me that she ia actually in a tourist visa now.So what do u think she might do.Pls advise.Hope to hear from you all

Employment Visas are linked to specific job offers. First she needs to get offered a job by a company that is prepared to sponsor her for an Employment Visa. When she has that job offer then she can use it to apply for the Employment Visa.

Thanks for the info.What about this since her stay here as a tourist providing her certificate can she enter to any school here for training ?first reason is to update her to latest technolgy,and secondly is to make her stay longer.What do u suggest her next move as her visa expires soon.People of all folks are welcome to advise.

To study she needs an Education Visa (or Training Visa). And to get either of those she needs to have applied for and been accepted on the training course.

i understand that training visa has a limited stay.Can she enter schooling while in dh visa how about that?

Just a second thought..
ImmD is quite aware of DH visa being misused for internal emplyment in small businesses.. If she was on DH visa before and now on tourist visa again, they might become suspicious about her past employment and future integrity..
