Electronically transferring funds back to Australia

Hello,

Apologies in advance for this ignorant questions below.

Given that I will be moving to HKG and getting paid in HKG dollars, I would like to know how easy it is to transfer money back to Australian bank accounts - eg in to mortgage accounts, paying Aussie credit cards etc.

What is the best bank to open a HKG bank account in to facilitate ease of money transfer back to Aus.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Paul

It's trivially easy with HSBC online banking (and with other banks I am sure) to transfer money to any bank account in the world.

Having said that, it is not always the cheapest route - for example, I have stopped sending money to The Philippines this way because it costs about HKD100 per transaction less if I do it by Western Union.
