Broadband - Using as telephone

Hi, i've been told that with broadband you can use your microphone and enter into a telephone conversation - I have no idea about this stuff, but it would be helpful if i can find out some stuff. Anyone know anything about it?

James,

You can use MSN Messenger to do audio / video phone calls -- for free. Both the caller and the receiver need to have MSN Messenger installed. http://messenger.msn.com

There are some commercial services which allow you to use your PC to call any phone. If you're looking for such a service, I'd recommend you try zone1511 as their rates are fairly competitive.
