| Teaching English in HK I used to live in Hong Kong when i was younger and did a little teaching in Yuen Long when i was there... my parents have since moved back to America and i've been dying to go back ever since. i've recently been in contact with a few agencies that help find jobs in hong kong for english teachers... when i taught school back then, i didn't need to worry about rent and such, because i was much younger and still lived with my parents. now that i'll be coming to hong kong on my own, i have NO IDEA what to ask/expect for a salary. apparantly, they pay for a studio apartment (which is perfectly fine by me) and all i have to pay for is electricity/utilities, and food. any idea what the bare minimum that i should expect? i've been told to accept nothing lower than $2500 USD per month. any suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks |
