Hi, I'll be arriving in Hk next week on tuesday
I start working on July 3rd and I need to find an appt during those few days, in central or sheung wan
I already know that there is an ad section in HKmagazine.

Any information on, where to look, how to do, Welcomed !

Literally dozens of real estate agents ready and waiting for you. Head to Caine Road or Queens Road West. You need to go to an agent close to where you want to live because they often only cover a very small area each becasue there are so may of them. Everything is advertised by the building rather than the street and don't judge a place from the outside. Another option is the places owned by the hospital - Tung Wah - get off the escalator at Staunton Street and head to the right - Staunton turns into Bridges St and the apartments are near the end before you go down the stairs - one of them has a big banner outside with the number to call. Brilliant location!

You should take a look at the notice boards in the Welcome and Park N Shops. If you get lucky you might find an owner listing and you'd save on commission.. havign said that, you'd have to do the due dilligence yourself (i.e. does the person really own the flat they're renting to you..)
