K.S. You might be better of searching geobaby.com for baby sitters. The folks here are more of the sort that really need a night AT HOME.

Well i have to admit i am disappointed that nobody has gotten back to me from Rentamum.. is it a one man band??? Thought it was a reputable company!
I will try Geo Baby.. but did not know that there were babysitters on it.. otherwise would have tried earlier??
We moved here a couple of months ago and i have seen no real nightlife as there is only so much u can do with a 7 year in tow... Still awaiting the nod from the Maid agency to say our Maid has gotten her visa?? grrr
Not sure y it has taken so long,.,... but we r now in the 11th week!

Should not take this long.

One solid piece of advice we were given was to call the immigration number listed on the application receipt at precisely 9:00AM ... with your finger on the redial button. If you get through ( you will eventually ) beg and plead that the immd give your application a priority. In our case, both me and my wife need to get to the office.

Also, try sending a fax to them pleading your case. Our application was approved within 2 days of talking to and faxing them.

This is something your agency WILL NOT do for you.

I am fed up now..
Would love to go out once in a while after doing all my chores.. hahahha
We had a great life in Vietnam for 6 years and i have to admit i have not seen anything of Hong Kong so not really enjoying so much..

What are you looking for babysitter wise? Just a few nights here or there or something regular?
I have just arrived in HK with my husband on an 18 month stay. I was a teacher in the US (middle school English!) and would really like to do some tutoring or babysitting here in HK, as I really enjoy working with kids.

I just need a babysitter now and again.. am waiting on our maid to get her visa and arrive from the fillipines
I have family here on holiday so just wanted to go out tonight and tomorrow.. nothing really mad.. just dinner and a few drinks with adults.. hahhahah
