i'm thinking to go to yoga plus ..referred by my friend she is one of the member..she really like it..but i heard from this yoga store salesperson that it is more expensive than pure yoga..i'll go to try it this sunday..can someone give me some suggestions? anyone tried yoga plus, plannet yoga, pure yoga or other places? or, shall i join the Carlifornia fitness? i'm looking for something that's not too expensive but in Central area ..i live in sai wan kennedy town..thanks

Personally I use Pure Yoga and I like them allot. I didn't try that many studio's before I decided on Pure so I don't have much comparison info to give you. The reason I chose Pure was becuase I liked their locations (I use Causeway Bay & Central studios) and I really liked their teachers. I'm into Power Yoga and Pure has a very good selection of Power classes and teachers. If your friend has a particular type of Yoga that they like I would focus the choice on that. My recommendation is to try a few classes at each studio and see how you like the teachers & style of the studio.

I tried Pure on a weekday evening- their Yin class , the teacher was really friendly and nice, the class size are ok, but it was smaller than I thought for Pure, they only have three rooms in central and the changing room is small especially after a class ends. But, overall, it was a nice experience. I was supposed to go to Yoga Plus for a trial this morning, however I was late to the class (actually i was one minute late )so I asked the staff to take me around for a tour, it turned out the staff is not as friendly as Pure. And they said they'll schedule me another class maybe next week. I was a bit disappointed of this because when I got there, I saw there was this lady who was also late and (like give me some info or tours)to new customers like me. I told them I realize it was my fault for being late and could stay for the next available beginner trial..they told me to come back in an hour, but whenI went to starbucks,and after i ordered a coffee and muffin, they called and said sorry and just realized they made a mistake with the schedule, that I have to come back some other time. So, i'm thinking to go back or not now..the Pure seems alright except with the location is a bit far to walk from the mtr where the Plus is situated in the lan kwai fong..but most likely i will keep looking other yoga or go for Pure..

Beverly00 - replying to your 1st question...it's hard for me to say which I like better, the Causeway Bay or Central Pure studio's. I go based on the type of class and teacher. Both studio's are nice inside, although Causeway Bay ia a little larger (especially the changing room). The Causeway Bay studio is also very convenient being right next to Times Square (so, just pop out the MTR and you're there). All the staff and teachers are friendly in both places. I take the Power classes at Central and the Yin classes in Causeway Bay. My recommendation is pretty much the same as before which is to try it out and find the class and type of teacher that you like. Once you find the right teacher you'll enjoy it tremendously.

their customer service staff are so rude! (yoga plus). I just called to ask about membership - was put through to three different people. Then the person I got through to said I had to call him back in 15 mins. Called back and he tells me to call back again. Do they not want my money!?>?!

oh esque, so sorry to hear about what you experience... some customer service here can be really really bad... Trust me, I have quite a number of experience... I would like to take up some yoga lesson too, in fact I am a member of Fittness first, and there are class for Yoga, of course you have to be a member of FF 1st. I am not sure if most gym here have free class for members... could check it out ...

I find the best Pure Yoga is in Langham Place, Mongkok. Much more space and more relaxing then CWB or Central.
