We are moving to Shanghai from Hong Kong in a couple months time. I will be having another baby soon and already have a 1 year old. New baby will be born in Hong Kong, and then we move. My question is, does anyone have experiences they can share about their move to Shanghai, especially if they came from Hong Kong? I would like to know if you like it there, how does it compare, do you get more for your money, is the expat community even tighter than in Hong Kong, challenges/benefits, etc? Any honest feedback about how you like Shanghai and how you found the transition would be most helpful. We are moving regardless, I just want to know what to expect. Thanks for your time.

Also I am interested in possibly bringing our helper from Hong Kong to Shanghai. Does anyone know if this is possible and what is required for us to do this?

I would suggest you posting your message to the related HK forum, which may have got more feedbacks. Sorry, I don't know much about Shanghai so that I cannot help out. But I do believe that the expat community in HK should be bigger than that in Shanghai.
