I've just messed up with a 3 digit number padlock of my travel briefcase. I was trying to change the number, but the lock was still open after I'd set the number, and I altered the number and it closed suddenly. It has two presses on the side and a small hole where you set the number with the point of a pen.Who can help me open it?

Fortunately I can still open the briefcase, but I hope to open the padlock so that I can use it.

As a backstop if no one comes up with bright ideas, you can always take the long way home - i.e. spin them one by one - it gets faster with a few rounds practice - I managed to do it that way on a one hour bus ride to Incheon airport from Seoul while reading the newspaper.

haha yeah...I've had to do it that way too HKFella...sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Incidentally, my dad messed up with his newly brought travel case just like me yesterday, and my brother knew the way to unlock it, by looking at the very tiny space between the wheels and the lock with a torch, and unlocked his padlock. I, however, couldn't unlock mine by this or the counting from 000 to 999 method. Anyway, I'll use a traditional padlock since this kind of number padlock is very unreliable. Thanks for your suggestions.
