try your luck in a first floor shop called 'collectibles' or some such thing, near escalator in Central, near the escalators...i am not sure if this shop is in Pottinger street or the parallel one....there are lots of 2nd hand books, cassettes, gramaphone records etc, on 2nd and 5th floor of the building....good luck...

if you can wait for a weel or two, we're clearing out the department magazine stock at the performing arts academy - loads of soundie-related stuff in there... i can keep em back and hand em over to ya? if you just want random issues from this year :-)

Another thing for you to try is the Hong Kong Library (Causeway Bay section). They carry a ton of magazines for reading. I haven't asked the library if they ever sell their stock, but certainly you can go sit and read. Not sure if they carry the particular magazines you're looking for, but it's worth a try. I recently went over there to look through Digital Photography magazines and there were ~6 different ones on the shelf. They have a very good selection.

Discobay - Not sure in particular about your UK magazine question, but I wouldn't be surprised. They definitely have UK newspapers, so I'm sure they have magazines as well. The selection is HUGE (basically the entire 4th floor of the library). The magazines are all recent. I think they re-stock every month with the new issues. They also have back-issues on another floor but I've never made it there to check them out...I end up spending hours on the 4th floor.

Yup to UK magazines at central library - they definately have them, but they also have magazines from a lot of other places, so you may have to dig down into the pile to find them out
