Sorry for the delay response.

Personally, I don't think you will have a problem - if you are straight up with the Immigration Officer ... they may pull you aside and ask you to wait while they verify the information of your pending visa.

"First" exit - Immigration most likely will have the same view too.

Immigration can take as long as they feel necessary but typically they try to act fast if you provide them with everything they need.

Well at least that has been my experience.

Depends on what type of visa you are applying for, how many times you have come into the country, where you are from, etc. etc. Requirements are specified on the immigration website for various visa types.

If it is a third+ tourist visa and you're coming in from a short stay in Macau or elsewhere, be prepared to have your visa denied.

Hey Brat, I wish I would write the same as that in time..I'm now in Macau and will be coming back HK tomorrow and, Alby, this week will be my 4th week from the time my work visa application has been lodged...wish me luck!...

Guys!!!Congratulate me!!!I got my employment visa approved today...yyyaaaahhhhooooo!!!!Well, thank you so much for all your info/help...I have to exit this time to re-enter, with the sticker on my passport and have my work visa activated then after that I would apply for my HK ID, right?
