Want to buy a sword

In particular, a Paul Chen Practical Katana. The model number is 1070 (not 1070GT). The cheapest I've found on google is $147 shipped to the US. Does anyone know any sword shops around here or happen to know the price of this particular sword? Also, the sword is small enough to fit in my suticase. Is this OK or will they confiscate it at the airport?

They won't confiscate it on your way out and it's legal to own in the US. You're gonna have a hard time finding one here in HK though....

There is a Kung Fu shop on Johnston Road, Wanchai. It is upstairs on the north side of the road and faces the tram stop and petrol station that serves Johnston and Hennessy Roads.

I've heard they do stock nunchukus and the like there - don't know about swords though.

I was there last month and saw swords but I'm not an expert so can't begin to describe them.

Try the shop with Jap action figure on display in 3rd floor Sino Centre. Take the escalator not lift. I am not sure you will find the one you are looking for, but I know they sell swords there.

Happy chopping.
