Work visa wait is driving me nuts!

I have been offered a perm job by a large IB who will be sponsoring the work visa. The wait for visa is 3-4 weeks! perhaps i am being paranoid...hope the visa application goes through smoothly and gets approved...

Visa wait

Yes can take 6 weeks and seems to be getting longer, perhaps because the economy has picked up?

I can relate to this, but don't worry I'm sure you'll be fine. I' m working for a large finance firm in HK and my visa took just over 6 weeks to come through (although there were 4 national holidays in there too). I know it wasn't that long to wait, but it can get apprehensive when you're not totally sure of the outcome.
If you're not working now then try and take your mind off it, I finished my notice in London and then went to Thailand for a holiday and once the visa was through got it sent to my hotel and then flew over, worked for me

i hope it will be approved..., and i hope it will be just 4 weeks...

as above...

*sigh* the wait can be such an agony. makes no comfort to know that some waited for 4 months (now how did that happen?).
