| freeier, that's quite unique, they never saw you and gave you an offer! You must be really good, hehehe... In my case, I had first round over the phone, then they flew me over to HK for several rounds in a day. (they wore me out - 6 rounds in a day, flew in at an early morning flight, took the last flight out, arrived home at 1am.) Then I did another conference call with the big boss, got the offer by DHL and waited till my work visa came through. Then they flew me over to start work. brat, yep it is practical that you fly here once the work visa is already approved, since technically you cannot work without it anyway. |

| The fault does not always lie with the Immigration Dept. My previous employer sat on the paperwork for two months until I called to ask if he has heard from the Immigration Dept. He lied to me that it has been submitted weeks ago and blamed the Dept for being inefficient. I later found out from the secretary that the documents were submitted three weeks prior to my arrival. The approval came on the same day when I flew in. So in reality, it only took the Immigration Dept three weeks to approve the visa. |
