Visa Questions

If a person holds a BC (British citizen) passport, does he still need a visa to visit the United States?

Thanks in advance,
Bernard

British Passport holders have visa-free access to the U.S. so you do not need to apply for a visa.

Subject to certain conditions you can use the visa-waiver scheme (you need the Green Immigration card). But if you have ever been arrested (even if not convicted), or have a criminal record then you need to get a visa.

More details here: http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/niv/vwp.html

hmm, green immigration card? is that the form you have to fill out before entering US?

basically, i am going back to US for a short vacation (8 days), and my girlfriend is coming with - she was born/raised in HK, but has a BC passport. her parents work at the Immigration Dept and said that she wouldn't need a visa to enter US, and i just wanted to double-check.
