A picnic (providing it's a nice day) at a location overlooking the harbor or victorias peak (link has trails and park locations) is always romantic.

If she's into museums, visitors centors offer a museum pass for hk$30 to visit 6 museums:
Heritage museum, Museum of Coastal defense, Museum of Art, Museum of History, Science Museum, Space Museum

Don't just take her to coffee unless its followed by something great afterwards, since you're looking for her to call all her friends in excitement.

Thanks all..

pixieffort - thanks for the detailed plan, you sounds like a very romantic and passionate person.. your fiance is very lucky

keto1 - my girlfriend is an expat, fudge????

rani - I am cooking her meals on a regular bases (cooking is a hobby of mine) , and it's always really nice to do that. so it could be very romantic with the right ingredients- candles flowers exc...

we r together for 3 years now , first bday in HK, we have been to the pick (only to the restaurants over there , not around where the gardens r).
The thing is outdoor plan like picnic will be a long shot due to the "great" weather of the current season.
So I thought maybe someone knows about secrets romantic spots/restaurants/activities this town as to offer .

Thanks again for your help

A friend's boyfriend is a hopeless romantic. He made her heart shaped pancakes for breakfast for one of her birthdays. Us girls still talk about it....

Yeah fudge it.

If she doesnt know HK that well, then you can go to some nice, though popular spots like The Peak cuz she hasnt been to them 1000 times like a local would have.

And you can go to Ocean Park during the day time and do touristy things doubling up as a romantic event/pressie.

Go to Tai O (afternoon will be fine), take a boat trip and see the great pink dolphins
i think all girls love dolphins eh?

may then stay there or go to Lamma island to have seafood...

I am relatively new in town so I don't really know what hk has to offer on the romantic side. ooo consider the fact that I haven’t found a job YET my budget is not so high
Thanks
you can always rent a boat for a group of 30, cost only around $200HKD per person, which includes lunch and a good 5 hrs ride around Hong Kong. For a smaller group or just the 2 of you, a one day trip to Macau could do the trick, leave in the morning, walk around, try ur luck at the casion and a nice dinner, that should cost less than $1,000-.
