| Well, I can speak for most video game junkies here, since I've got a bit more experience that I am proud of :P 1. PC Games - they go anywhere from USD 50 - USD 80 per game - depending on how soon you buy to release, and more importantly - it's popularity. As an example - the US Version of WoW (which I bought) cost me USD 125.00 in retail here in HK. The Collector's Edition - which I actually purchased - cost me well over USD 200.00.. I know I overpaid massively, but I wanted the CE really bad :P 2. PC Games that are not so popular can be bought for HKD 200-300 about one month or so after the initial release. 3. XBox/PS2 - what someone said earlier - HKD 299 MAX. I too, have never paid more than that for ANY console game. 4. Ping rates for U.S. Servers around 300 for me. The new Oceanic servers are sometimes worse due to high population on World of Warcraft (the only MMO/Internet game I play) 5. Don't know about setting up English version localized servers - most people prefer Chinese language games in HK. Singapore is a different story though. |
